*haiku poems should have some allusion to nature or seasons that is also evocative of a human experience or feeling — the spring cherry blossoms that fall on the trail of your new life — so this is by no means a traditional haiku, but I find that the artificial structure of 17 syllables forces one to compress or distill a thought to its essential core.
